Rolling road tested my 97 Aero (long)

Hi all,
Just thought I'd share this with the fraternity. A while back I mentioned that I had some Abbott (UK) mods done to my 97 Aero auto, namely chip upgrade, dump valve, wastegate actuator, boost control valve. ITG filter, 4" backbox, koni shocks and Abbott springs. The turbo (Garrett T25) failed about 6 months back and, under a warranty scheme, I had the TD04 fitted. I have also had the Abbott 308mm front brake kit fitted.
Recently I took it to Powerstation in Cheltenham who rolling road tested it. They advised me that the car produces 265bhp and 291 lb/ft torque. The engineer 'forgot' to switch off the air-con. Giles at Abbott rackons that it may well be nearly 275bhp with over 300 lb/ft with air-con off. I have the graph if anybody would like a copy (in the UK!). The economy hasn't suffered. I'm getting around 22-23mpg around town and 32-33mpg on the motorways.
Having said that, these Aero's (especially modified) are awesome. It's a privilege to be driving such a beautiful car.
Regards,
Imran

P.S The auto gearbox is still going strong.
