The three-port-vacuum BPC solenoids found on 2.3L 9K's all have the same part number, according to my parts manual--but earlier parts are slightly different. My original '95 solenoid had a brass restrictor in the bottom vacuum port, reducing the opening to nearly needle-width.
The used replacement from an earlier 9K (probably '91 or '92) I've been using for nearly four years has a larger-diameter plastic restrictor. It has worked fine, but with my ECU upgrade it is a bit peaky and I plan on trying to find another solenoid with the smaller restrictor, which should smooth turbo transition. This older unit works fine with a stock ECU and I wouldn't hesitate buying another under those conditions.
