93cset suddenly died in traffic, then no start. Have had this car for a few months after buying it used. Excellent records, great service and repair history, and up till now is running great!
On Les H's advice, I checked the throttle position sensor connections, took off the battery connections to clear the codes and clean the battery connectors.
Also pulled out the DI cassette, and whoa, did it ever smell like fried electronics. Checked the plugs and they are the WRONG ONES. Bosch super, no resistance indicated.
Switched the plugs and DI with my wife's known good ones, and the 93 started right up, no problem.
The moral of the story: If you are not *sure* you have the right plugs in your DI car, check it out and make sure. It is not worth it to find out like I did. I thought of checking on this car, but blew it off. Sigh.
However, I am totally blessed to have everyone safe and a fix-able "problem"
Happy motoring and thanks for your help!
Patrick
