There are various differences .... it depends on your market and the model year.
The easiest to spot is the boost gauge. LPT (170hp) cars do not have a boost gauge and FPTs (200hp) and AEROs (225hp) do.
One thing you can check under the hood is the boost pressure control (BPC)valve. Again, the LPT cars do not have it. It is a small plastic canister attached to the LH top of the radiator with three rubber hoses and an electrical connector. It regulates the boost pressure in FPT and AERO engines.
Other potential differences are 1) lack of intercooler 2) lack of turbo by-pass valve (BPV), which is a small plastic thing on the aluminum air intake pipe (which goes to the throttle body). It has two 1/2" nipples and one small one for vacuum/pressure signal.
I hope this helps..... you also have your "butt dyno".... there is a difference in performance.... smile
