No, because the auxillary (A/C) fan in front of radiato Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] (#112) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SWEDECAR) on Fri, 18 Apr 2003 11:18:54 In Reply to: Re: Do you know for sure that the system is filled?, abcd, Fri, 18 Apr 2003 09:45:11 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
is also ran over the same presure switch. It's actually a 4 wire/2 stage switch.
Two wires (in/out) to A/C compressor relay.
Two wires (in/out) to A/C aux fan relay.
The fan on the inside of radiator is also on the same circuit as the A/C compressor (and on a seperate circuit from fanswitch).
So if the A/C compressor relay doesn't get juice from the pressure switch, kicking the relay, the inner cooling fan will not come on either (until the fanswitch closes another circuit, turning on the inner cooling fan)
The aux/outer fan only kicks in when the pressure inside A/C system have reach a certain level (usually about 10-15 seconds after A/C compressor kicked in).
Hope this helps
