base my answers on what the person is planning to do. And doing the main bearings on an engine is a major undertaking requiring some special tools and knowledge, so therefore I just answer that it's possible.

You do need a lift/crossover bar spanning between the inner fenders to hang the engine from when the subframe is lowered. And you need to lift the engine up as far as possible to be able to get the oil pan past the oil pick up tube.

(OTC have a good bar for about $200.00)

At this point the cyl head is already off and you use a bolt in one of the cyl head bolt holes to suspend the engine from.

When engine mounts are loosened, you have quite a bit of travel that the engine can be moved up or down, together with dropping the subframe (but still let it hang from the last three threads of the bolts).
