clutch failure -- follow-up, Swedish Automotive Seattle

I posted a question here in early April about my clutch suddenly failing. I thought I'd post a follow-up.
Well, it turned out to be a failed master cylinder. But in replacing the master cylinder my mechanic discovered that the slave was leaking too. So $1000 later my car is back on the road.
I discovered through this adventure that in 1993 SAAB released a service bulletin. This bulletin explains that a little piece of rubber hose, that runs from the hydraulic fluid reservoir to the master cylinder, leaches a chemical which trashes the seals in both hydraulic cylinders. (I'll include a link to a website which shows this bulletin.)
Even though this car was maintained for four years, 1997 to 2001 (when I bought it) by supposed SAAB experts (Swedish Automotive in Seattle) and even though they worked on the clutch three separate times, they never actually replaced this little piece of hose. So a two-year old slave cyilinder and four-year old master cylinder were basically wasted. I approached them to replace the slave cylinder part that failed after only two years (less than 1/5 the cost of the actual repair) and they refused.
I don't care to say anything about this company besides relaying some simple facts. Generally they seem to have a good reputation. But if they maintain your pre-1993 SAAB, and have done clutch work, I'd advise calling them and asking them to double-check this tiny detail, that can have such expensive consequences.
