Please help me if you can. I have a 1990 9000cd turbo that won't start. I parked it one night (running fine), next morning it would not start. I tried that night, still no go. Next night I sprayed starting fluid, it finaly started, but would only idle. It would not rev up at all. It would bearly pull itself at idle. Since then, it will not start even with starting fluid. I checked the fuel pump by unhooking the fuel filter (outlet side) & having someone else turn the key on. The fuel pump would only work with the key in the 'cranking' position, not in the 'on' position. Is this right? Next we looked at the DI cassette. It looks pretty rough. There was oil all over it. I have already replaced the valve cover gasket, oil was up to the top of the spark plug holes. We took the DI apart, there was a 'clear' oil all over the inside of the DI & where the 'tan' peices pluged into the DI. Do these 'tan' peices supposed to have oil in them? Is the DI trashed? Where can I find another (used)DI? PLEASE HELP, I'm having to drive my 87 900 (no turbo)!! Bubba
