non-detachable cable at the engine end, unless you or someone has replaced with a newer version DI before. When replacing the older DI units ('91 and '92 or so), you have to buy the cable assembly AND the newer DI cassette. The newer DI has a detachable connector while the old one does not.
The other end of the cable connectors are by the battery, I think there are two for the DI. You can take the connectors off the mount and disconnect the connectors. These connectors are not the easiest thing to take apart and don't break them as they may be brittle with heat and age. The ground wire is just a ground wire, just don't lose that screw into the engine bay when you take it out.
Unscrew the four bolts on the DI, clean the sump if it is oily. Then get some dielectric grease (get from auto store, PepBoys etc.) and apply some to the spark plugs **insulator** near the top but NOT the plug conductors. Put the new DI back in, put the connector from the new cable on the DI.
Check all cable and ground connections, then start the car.
**** Make sure it is the DI leaking oil and NOT engine oil from a leaking valve cover gasket ****.
