Hi,
There is no mystery here! Hydrolic leaks?! No turning?! with warnings of friggin' apocalypse, come on!
When you replace brakes they need time to seat! People say about 250 miles. Before proper seating the brakes will feel mushy, thats normal. To best seat them you must do this horribly nausiating exercise of braking from a 40 mph speed to bring the car to 10 mph without locking anything up.
If the procedure is not done the pad will glaze over prematurely. Is this the end of the world? No! If there is premature glazing, just keep driving the glaze will eventually shave off with use.
In Summary, take it easy on the brake for a while and you will see that brake wuality will come back.
