I didn't do it a saab mechanic did. It is the elring head gasket. My fan turns on properly and my thermostat is changed yearly and is an 82 degree one. Everything was fine until about 6 months ago, it just seems really odd to me as I didn't overheat the engine in that time and the problem began immedately after I changed the afore mentioned gasket.
I'm familiar with the saab gods who get mad when you fix things like the time my starter died on my 900 right after I changed my oil. What I'm really looking for is possible causes and if the head might have just lived its useful life and should be replaced.
