Hi,
Sorry if this sounds really stupid. I did a search but was even more confused..
I have a UK 9000s J reg (1991-2)
I often need to use the car with the seats folded down which destroys the sound quality from the stock rear speakers, or at least kills all the bass.
I am thinking of making a small modest bass box to go under the drivers (right hand) seat. (boot full of stuff so no room for a bass box back there)
The questions are;
IS the box under the passenger seat (left hand) an amp from the original stereo or some kind of engine management stuff?
IF its an amp how can I tell if it is in use?
I have a Kenwood head unit (there was some awful aftermarket head unit in the car when I got it last year) wired in through the din plug. I have to set the fader quite substantially towards the rear to get a good balance in the front, does this indicate that the amp is either not used or not working?
IF its an amp does nyone know where I can find specs, pictures, wiring diagrams etc? There is nothing in the Haynes manual.
Any help or advice on any of the above much appreciated.
