Hello -- I thought I'd share the following as I have not seen it on the board and it saved me a lot of time/money. My car slowly started to smoke, especially at start-up. Pulling the intake boot off the compressor side of the turbo revealed oil coming out of the turbo and into the intake, so I thought I was looking at a turbo rebuild. A local shop that does fuel injection and turbocharger work on our semi's suggested first cleaning the K&N air filter -- he claimed that a highly restricted air intake can cause a vacuum effect which draws oil out of the turbo and into the intake. I bought the K&N cleaning kit ($10) and voila! much more power and NO oil coming out of the turbo and no smoke since. As we say in Indiana, "who'da thunk it?"
