8 pin connector by LEFT tail light assembly hanging out of loom.

Use seperate grd wire to grd point by light cluster.
Dealers have the accessory plug assembly to plug into it and start the run. I have tried the magic mating electronic box and fried a couple of them when a lamp went south.
I made my own up to use the combined stop and turn filaments on the Hobie trailer. Or you could add seperate lamp units on the trailer to have individual brake/turns.
So I wouldn't load down the cars system I ran a power run from battery back to trunk and used two low current coiled, heavy current contact relays (we used them at the Motorola Service Shop to interface selective call radios with horn circuits) with two diodes isolating each coil so that the Saab's brake and turn work the relay (OR Gate). Fuse the run at the battery.
