The ABS light on my 89 9000s comes on frequently either after just starting in first or on the shift to second. If I let up on the gas, the light goes out. It has done this in the year and a half and almost 20k miles since I've owned the car. I've done a fair amount of work on the driveline and brakes, but have not identified the problem. The resistance on the cables test OK, the lights go out after 20 seconds or so in the morning, and I get 12 jabs on the pedal before the light comes on at idle. I flushed the system last summer and I suspect that made things better for a while . I'm going to try that again to see if it helps.
