Just make sure it doesn't have TCS, it was/is a system that I think cause to much pain in your wallet. Even if you would to live in a snowy part of the country I don't think it works that great.
Otherwise I don't feel the 93 is a worse (or better) choice than other year/models.
Surely, as newer you go as better it gets, since they usually have lower mileage.
I have heard several people talking about bad balance chain drive on the 91 to maybe 93 drivetrain, but the strange thing is that I have never encountered one 9000 with bad ones (and I have seen a lot of 9000 in that year range) compared to how many bad NG900 I have seen.
