No, there's no clip. Of course, the cable has to be disconnected from the pedal lever, which does have a clip, IIRC. But the outer cable mount is simply force fitted into the bulkhead. It takes a great amount of effort not only to remove it, but installing it, also. It's very difficult to get a secure purchase point from the engine side of the bulkhead because of the close proximity of the brake booster and if one just pulls on the cable, rather than the mount, it's likely to pull the cable out, while leaving the mount still in the bulkhead. What I've done is take a long screwdriver, from the inside, and with the tip held against the white plastic part of the cable mount, force the mount out the engine side - I think I may have used a hammer to coax it! I used the same tactic forcing the new cable in, except the approach was from the engine side. The most critical aspect to this job is having plenty of light on the subject matter!
