I don't know a thing about the transmission mount.

With the upper two bushings make careful note of their initial orientation. If you put them in the "wrong way" they won't work as well. I tried the "improvies clamp method but ended up usinga hydraulic press at the school's machine shop to press these in. This requires taking the dogbone and "alternator bushing arm (have no idea what proper terminology is for this) of the engine. This was a little tough - only because the bolts holding this upright arm are hard to find. There are 3 of them and you'll probably need a swivel extension for your socket if you go that way. Of course a 2-piece poly bushing would be much easier. I used a sawzall, screwdriver, and hammer to get the bushings out of their mounting.

Lower mounts are not much harder - they just require more rotations to get in properly. I used a jack to lift the engine up really high - unbolted the subframe but did not find that it helped all that much with the front mount. If you jack up the engine with the spare tire jack be sure to spread the load from the jack out with a chunk of 2x6 so you don't punch a hole through the oil pan. For an '87 the bolt size on the lower motor mounts was 19mm.

The rear lower mount will probably be coated with a nasty oil/sand mixture. Expect to do a lot of cleaning before putting a socket on these bolts. Removing the mounting arm for the rear lower mount is a brilliant idea - otherwise its nearly an impossible alignment job.

This took me about 6 hours spread over a week to finish (it was january in Minnesota)
