The rear tail light clusters all earth at a point below each tail light cluster. The ground wire is usually black. Pulling back some of the carpeting in the area should show the earthing point.
There is nothing wrong with putting in another earthing point - in fact, this is a good way to fix false filament sensor indications. Make sure you find the ground point on the tail light cluster circuit board, solder on a nice, fat wire (14-16 ga), and run it to a ground point. This won't defeat the filament sensor, because it sits on the sourcing (12 volt) side of the line.
