The upper attached to the engine is competely shot--rubber is ripped all the way through to the aluminum sleeve in two spots. Explains why I have so many vibes at idle. I'm sure it happened from the extra torque from all the upgrades I've done (Stage 3 ECU, 3" exhaust, etc.).
What I've read on this board is that if the upper(s) is worn/shot, expect the bottoms to be on their way out as well, since the upper didn't get that way by itself. The engine had to move/rock back and forth to rip the upper, and the only way that can happen is if the bottoms are worn.
Also, from what I've read here is that the hydrualic bottoms are the best way to go, especially if you have an auto. Not many people have used anything other than that for the bottoms, so there hasn't been many experiences written about.
For the top, because you have an auto, stick with oem rubber-in-aluminum-sleeve. Though, I have heard that poly inserts from eEuroparts are softer than other poly uppers out there, so that may be a consideration (especially for me so that I don't have to go through this again so quickly).
