I my mind I picture a wastegate as a disk that rotates around a central pin. I wonder if I have that right?
At the bottom of the turbo the arm from the wastegate (wastegate lever) reaches out toward the engine block, where it is supposed to meet the actuator rod from the diaphram. Said rod is hanging diconnected from the wastegate, no cause for concern.
But wastegate lever is pointing toward the radiator. It moves freely -- and loosely -- but doesn't want to turn back toward the actuator rod.
Maybe I have the turbo layout wrong?
