Hey everyone.
I wanted to share that I finally found a part that corrected the rear droop after installing Abbott springs. SAS sells a poly spring spacer for the later 900 models that fits the 9000 rear spring perfectly. It is 1/2 inch thick and raises the car that same amount. And it only cost $25.00. My 9000 now sets the same at all four corners basically.
Front right : 36.7
Front left : 36.6
Rear right : 36.0
Rear left : 36.5
Some of you maybe tired of reading my complaints, but hopefully this all will help someone else down the road experiencing the same problems.
Abbott was nice about the whole thing, but refused to believe their springs were anything but perfect. I think all in all the distance between England and the USA didn't help.
An added note.....Just got the car back from having a new 'rebuilt' tranny and a new clutch installed. Very nice now. The original 5-speed trans. was cooked from overheating. I guess the previous owner didn't take care of it, but had the smarts to get a transferrable warranty! Also had a poly tranny mount put in. So now the car is all poly and not bad on vibrations. I did drill some holes in the back wishbone engine mount to ease the initial vibrations.
I want to post some pictures but haven't quite figured out the way to do it on here yet.
Thanks,
Mike
