I'll be the bad cop here. Although I wish my 9000 Aero experience has been as delightful as the others here, I cannot say it has. I purchased my Aero last July and thought that I had chosen the right one, but perhaps jumped into things too quickly. Bottom line, I could have a 99 Viggen for the money wrapped up in my still only partially repaired Aero. Do I love the car? YES! Am I broke now? YES! I've got just a tad over $6K in repairs in just under one year, and there are many more repairs to come.

Here's the list:

**5 spd tranny, NOT solid, many others have issues with these around the 130Kmi mark. Did clutch while in there.
**Cam/Valve cover gasket
**Wheel bearings
**Fuel pump, no biggie. WRONG! try $450 just for the part.
**BPC Solenoid
**Serpentine belt and new pulleys
**Heater core. Held at bay thanks to Bar's Leaks
**Motor mounts
**Exhaust from cat back. 3" w/ mandrel bends.
**Others that escape me at this time.

Future repairs required
**Head gasket is going
**Sunroof leaks
**Pass door won't open from outside. Just an adjustment
**Needs paint. Don't get red!
**Engine cooling system needs some help

All these items occurred regardless of the meticulous maintenance that the previous owner had performed and the most excellent bill of health the car received the day after I purchased it.

I do still love it even though I'm the butt of all my buddies' jokes, but none of them can hang with me provided it's running. LOL!

They really are great cars, but you'll need a hefty wallet. I still smile everytime I go out alone for a drive.

Good luck
