Blue smoke during cold startup on '94 9K--reasons?

Just when you think you've got your Saab well-maintained and running well, something always seems to happen......*sigh* Ok, I need some help diagnosing this problem:
'94 9KCSE 2.3L Turbo, 5sp, 120K miles, Mobile 1 10W-30 every 3K miles--lots and lots of lovin'. Recently, when I start my car in the morning (or anytime it has been sitting long enough for the engine to completly cool down), it starts up, idles for a few seconds, and then starts blowing blue smoke from the exhaust for about 15 seconds. Then the car is fine--no more smoke that I can see while driving it. It does this consistently.
I searched the 9000BB archives a bit. It seems that if I had a turbo problem, it would be blowing smoke all of the time--correct? Does this mean I possibly have bad/leaky/worn valves? It seems like such a young car to have such issues. Should I do a wet/dry compression test? If so, do you recommend removing all of the plugs and disconnecting the DI cassette wire for this test?
I don't mind seeing blue smoke occasionally puffing from my '55 Chevy pickup, but not from my '94 Saab!!!! Thanks for the advice!
