I did something drastic today.!!!!!!
I cleaned the contacts on my window switch in my 1993 saab 9000 cde, per my mechanic because the sunroof wasn¡¦t closing.
Unfortunately it started to rain and I didn¡¦t have them cleaned yet. so I tried to jumper the bare jumpers with my keys, oops¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K¡K..
I apparently jumped the wrong toggles with my keys. they almost burned my fingers.
well anyway I get the switch back together and now neither one of the front windows work. I took the switch apart several times and replaced the toggles, nothing, I even called my neighbor who is an electrician and we figured out which jumpers worked the rear windows, so we tried the same thing for the front and nothing. DOA. With the switch back together the back windows work. The sunroof NOW WORKS, the locks work, the child safety lock works, but not the front windows.
I need to know if there is an inline fuse I might have blown. I don¡¦t want to get a new switch box because I am pretty busted with cash now. I don¡¦t mind using a used one but will I have the same problem? Could I have fried the switch? or blown something internally? I did not see any smoke or here anything pop. I checked the fuses inside the glove and they were fine. So I am clueless 2 times ƒº.
I doubt I fried the motor.
Could some one please email me. It¡¦s the weekend in south Florida, no Saab place is open and its supposed to rain
Yes the front windows are down.. da me
Or does any one know how I can get them up again? Anything. I just need them closed ASAP.
Schematics would help as well.
