So you actually saw the oil pressure light go from illuminated to off after the engine started up?
If not, you might have an oil pressure problem which could be a wrong installed pressure reducer valve or oil pick up tube that is not installed correctly, or something else.
If you have oil pressure, it might be something wrong with the cylinder head gasket not having a hole for the oil between block and head.
It's only one tiny hole that supply head with oil.
Or you might not have waited long enough for the oil to reach the cyl head. How long did you run the engine before shutting it down?
It takes awhile before the oil have filled up filter and worked its way to the top.
