To be able to loosen the front sensor from body you need a tampering proof torx socket, I think the size is T27 or T30.
Polish the surface behind and on the sensor. Remove battery clamps and clean posts and clamps. Remove ground cable behind battery from car body and clean all surfaces and remove ground cable from transmission and clean out.
That's as much as you can do to prevent ground problems.
In most cases, the light stays of for a year or so or longer, but it might come back again sooner. It's a really annoying problems for the Saab techs too, since it's so unpredictable.
