Have you checked the crank position sensor or the knock sensor? The crank sensor (hall magnetic device) will either work or not work. It is tied directly to the knock sensor before it transmits to the ECM. Carefully check battery voltage at the posts then check across pin 6 and 23 of the ECM - there should be a 1.5 volt loss from base line battery voltage (this is the voltage drop across the crank sensor coil). There isn't much you can do with the knock sensor but a defective shield that grounds to the engine block could cause a problem. The engine must turn 150 rpm for the fuel pump relay to energize and fire the DI. If these things are happening the sensor is reporting correct information to the ECM. It's possible the wiring from the crank sensor is intermittant or the knock sensor is defective or the wiring shield is grounding either of these will cause an error signal which could shut down the pump relay. Check the wiring carefully..... HTH
