Hey guys, I am the person who bought that car, I thought it was an 900 SPG, which I was looking for for parts, so drove all the way down to danvers for it. Was dissapointed at first when I realized that it was a 9000, but then realized that it was rare. I have never seen one either, but it is a sweet looking ride. I actually posted something on this page a day or two earlier than this one, asking the same questions. Did not get many answers, but got some suggestions for finding out.
The car is not in great shape, the tranny is going; makes a lound rythmic clunkingt in reverse, but the body is nice. A couple of small rust spots, but the panels are in real nice shape. They are definately factory installed, all have Saab stamped into them, and are on perfectly straight. I have seen enough fake SPG's to know that they are usually crooked somewhere when put on at home.
I read that someone thinks it is a carlson? I am a long time 900 fan, and don't know much about 9K's, but I intend to put a new tranny in it, paint it, and drive it, so would love to know more about it. Am even considering getting rid of my 91 900T in favor of it, it is that good looking, but that will be a big step for me; swore I would never do it! Any help identifying it would be great. Thanks- Nat
