ACC- 1 Freaking Out

Friday night was out in my 88 9KT and got stuck in a heavy down pour.. as driving - hit the defrost to take fog off windows....next thing i notice it starts pouring hot air full blast into cabin thru vents - only way to get it to chill was to set it for Lo and then it blew cold air.

Sat morning trying to fix the other 88 9KT that blows only hot air. Thought I'd run codes and see where problem was.

For the fun - i ran codes on the one stuck in rain -- it gave 7 codes then went into EU - which i see means defective head. then the ACC froze - no response.

Sunday morning ... got in drenched car -- ACC - 1 came back fine - till i stopped to get paper - then when startred 2nd time - came up with EU again.

Took the ACC1 head from other car - put it in drenched car and from start it shows EU code and nothng works.... put it back in host car -- works fine.

It can't be the head -- what else can it be...?? Could ther raion have gotten in and shoted something???

one thing i did notice is last winter i replaced cabin fan in the acquarium..... the insulation beyween the fan housing and the evap was old but i stuck it back on ..... i have been seeing bits of it blow into the cabin as it worked loose --Could a big chunk of that have broke free and jammed something..??
