Overall, the Abbott is not much louder than stock - I have their full system, and also had a Catco high flower catastrophic converter installed. The Abbott has a nice growl under acceleration, and is just a bit louder than stock at idle.
Where it really annoyed me, before the couple years it took for me to get accustomed, was it's ghastly popping under deceleration. At anything over about 3000 rpm, if you are in gear and coasting, you'll get sort of mini-backfires out the tailpipe. Or at least, my car does. The higher the rpms or the greater the load (ie steeper the hill you are going down), the faster and louder the popping. Upon further inquiry, Abbott finally admitted that it was normal, and that their customers in Europe actually requested an exhaust which made all kinds of popping noises. Go figure.
So, it's up to you...I only really got mine because I got a killer deal on it - below dealer cost, plus free installation.
