....I didn't realize that you had done so much work! It now sounds like the lower value switch was the act of a desperate man, trying to find an answer. The good thing is you don't have to worry about any of the mechanicals of the coolant system. If Lu is right, though, it could be a lot more work. Does the temperature always go to the red, even when the vehicles is on a level road doing 45 mph? Have you noticed changes in the coolant level? If you answer no to both of those, then Lu's probably wrong and your problem is part of the electrical controls for the fan. If it is electrical and you only care about your fan running when the engine gets warmer than 'normal', you might want to consider wiring a switch on the dash to the fan - at least until you get the control thing figured out. Does this vehicle have ACC?
