Double check your vacuum lines and hooter (bypass) valve. The symptoms you describe happened twice in the eight years I have owned my 9000 and once it was a vacuum line, once it was the hooter valve. Both times was when it was hot outside and the engine was hot.
I actually had to take mine to a shop to have the vacuum line diagnosed because I thought I had checked them all and appearently I missed one. What I would do is replace all of the lines with new ones first, that shouldn't cost more than 5 or 6 dollars in parts. If that doesn't work try a new hooter valve for about 26 bucks. I have heard about the sucking on the hose technique to diagnose that item as well, but it seems pretty imprecise to me...especially if you have never seen a good one vs a bad one to compare.
I don't know why this other guy had to clean his throttle body so often. If you are replacing your air filters and using good gas...clean air and clean fuel means not much washing required in your throttle body unless there are other major problems.
