little "tits", and start from the top one by one using a needle nose plier from the outside to pull them through the plastic cover.
By focusing on only one tab at the time, you can actually get your finger in between and guide the tab. When you come down to the bottom ones, it's only 2 tabs left that gets tricky. But you usually guide them through too without any big problems.
Very rarely do I remove that cover, but take the whole liner out instead.
