Sounds like you're talking about the torque arm bushings. There are two easy routes: 1) Buy the tool for between $50 to $75; it's worth its weight in gold! Using it, you can zip the old bushings out and zip the new ones in - grease job. 2) Buy a new arm (has the rear bushing already installed), and replace the front bushing with a two-piece polyurethane bush. That way, once you get the old bushing out, the new halves just plop into place, easy as pie. You'll still have to get the old one out though, and that's a scary endeavor that generally involves hacksaws, hammers and chisels.
Poly and other heavy duty bushings will increase vibration somewhat, and they probably will stress the lower front mount more as well. BTW, you should inspect the lower front mount - it's probably bad. Link below shows how.
