I actually do not know if there is enough room in the wheelwells to accept the 245/45ZR17's. I was kinda hoping there was (dumb, huh?). Is this a mistake? They're brand new, so I can try to sell them to get a more-fitting tire.

Add to this the fact that I am going to use hub adapters to convert to 5-lug so I can use the Mille Miglia EVO-5 17" rims. These adapters make the wheels come off the hub by 3/8" (because of the thickness of the adapters). Because if this, am I absolutely crazy trying to stuff those tires in there?

I don't want the car to sit any higher than it already is. I'm starting to think I'm attempting something here that I'm not gonna like. Will the size of these wheels make the car slower? It's already up to a Stage 3 ECU with JT 3" exhaust, better air delivery, and piston-style BPV.

I'm really looking to personalize the car by using a tastefully different rim (I have the '98 exposed-lug Super Aero's right now), as well as give it a little more control in the curves (I already went poly with suspension bushings all around).

Ideas? Comments?
