Has anyone tried an Intercooler Sprayer

There is a lot of talk about water injection here, but I was wondering about intercooler sprayers. The engine bay in my 94' Aero gets pretty hot and I was wondering if you could run a setup like I am about to propose. Get some sort of valve that operates on a solonoid so that so you could switch between the window washers and two or three washer nozzels mounted on or infront of the intercooler. This way you could use the window washer lever which is conviently located right by your hand on near the steering wheel to spray the intercooler. The switch will allow you to use the washer when you want and the intercooler sprayer the rest of the time. Lets face you will never use the two at the same time. This setup is effective enough to come stock on the WRX STI and as a computer controlled version on the Lancer Evo VIII. Seems feasible and there is enough heat under the hood that a little extra cooling should help not to mention there is really no tuning involved. What do you all think?
