That may have been me. The Harada aftermarket unit from eEuroparts would have required drilling to fit, at least in my 1993 CDE. I wound up returning it and buying a used unit from someone who was parting a car locally. Note this was the whole unit - motor and all. I don't know if just buying the mast from eEuroparts would require drilling, but I wouldn't imagine so.
You may get lucky and just have had the plastic tail break. In that case, you can just replace the mast. In my case, one of the plastic gears inside the motor stripped out, so I had to replace the whole thing.
