I need new tires, and although I thoroughly enjoyed the Dunlop SP5000 Asymmetrical's, I felt they wore out a little too soon. Plus, as they started to wear, wet traction started to diminish.

The Conti's are rated higher in every aspect than the Dunlop's. I esp. like the fact that they are better in the snow (light, of course), and I thought the Dunlop's were pretty decent for a performance tire.

Unfortunately, I see the Conti's are "V" speed-rated up to 149mph (the Dunlop's are "W" up to 168mph). Since I am inclined to push the pedal hard more times than not, should this concern me? Will these tires be unstable at higher-than-cruising speeds?

I would appreciate any advice anyone might have on these tires, both good and bad. I really want to buy tires that perform all-year-round; I do not want to switch back and forth between summer and winter.

BTW: would 205/50's fit on the 16" '98 Aero rims (as opposed to 205/55's), and are there any benefits to going to this size-tire?
