Replacing a brake caliper is pretty easy. My only recommendation is to get a good wrench on the end where the hose comes into the caliper and get it loose BEFORE you remove the caliper. Sometimes those babies can be sticky, and it's a lot easier to get leverage if the caliper isn't floating in space. You don't need to totally loosen or remove the hose - just a quarter turn to know it's broken free. And make sure you've got a very good wrench that fits right. This isn't the time to round that nut.
Once the hose is loose, remove the caliper from the hub, just like if you were changing pads. I then unscrew the caliper from the hose - you don't want to stress the hose. Keep a pan under it, because some fluid will run out. Screw on the new caliper. You will need to bleed that caliper because you've opened up the hydraulic system.
Calipers usually come with fresh brake pads. Don't use them. You want to put the old brake pads on, assuming they're still good. If they aren't then replace both sides. You don't want fresh pads on one side, slightly worn ones on the other.
Assuming the hose loosens up easily, replacing a caliper is an easy task.
