Mine was causing uncontrolled engine revs & stalls until I decided to take it out and take it apart. Whatever I did to it caused am unacceptable pulsating rev fluctuation when reinstalled. I disconnected the power harness to it, adjusted the idle with the throttle cable and it has been the car has been fine for a few days.

I think I'll wait until I can find a cheap one used from a boneyard. Any year-to-year compatibility listing would be appreciated by me also.

BTW: I was able to disconnect the power harness without removing anything. It is just below and forward of teh oil dipstick on mine. If you reach underneath the cable harness rail, you may be able to disconnect it also. The locking pin for the connector is just like the TPS and is on the bottom side.

I haven't noticed any major problems with it disconnected except for additional vibration in the steering wheel.
