Check the radiator mounted sensor near the Turbo.
located halfway down the passenger side of the radiator.
(passenger side is when sitting in drivers looking forward)
To test the fan -- connect the two wires that
go to the sensor. (you are then closing the circuit)
use a small piece of wire with two male spades on each end.
The sensor can fail--mine did along with the T.stat.
The sensor screws out easily and can be replaced
without draining the rad.
Sensor has a thermocouple that can stick open I guess.
cost about $60 Max.
Safety first -wear eye protection
remove rings jewelery etc when
working on car and with chemicals fluids.
The turbo can get very hot (cherry red infact)
and can burn skin off very quickly as I found out.
Never go under a car that is only supported by the
stupid car jack.
Never go into the woods during hunting
season dressed up as a Bear.
