Dash lights, already checked previous posts but...

In my 95 9000 Aero my dash lights have a problem with going off over bumps and otherwise flickering and dimming at random. There is no affect on any other functions, i.e headlights, etc. Just the instrument panel and ACC lights. The dimmer switch itself doesn't really change anything when turned up and down, but tapping the switch or tapping on the dash can sometimes get the lights back on. I checked previous posts and there was a bunch of stuff. I do not want to take my dash apart and if it is related to the dimmer switch what will I need to do? I am pretty sure the bulbs themselves are fine. The dash went dim for the first time months ago when hitting a bump but then was fine for a few months. Just recently has this been an ongoing problem. Sorry for the length
