Your fuel pump has a inbound check valve($8.00 part at dealer).
You have the symptoms of a froze check valve. The valve has a spring loaded ball that opens and closes which controls fuel flow pressure.
Since fuel pumps rarely die(when they quite they quite quickly), the check valve is usually the culprit.
Be forewarned, Saab just "redesigned" the end of the valve that fits into the fuel line coming in from the tank..it is a son of a gun to twist into the line as the redesign made the fitting larger than the fuel hose. With some lubricant and strong hands, you can jiggle the check valve on eventually. I had to replace mine and I decided the shave some of the end of the valve to narrow the diameter. I also added a small c-clamp to ensure it stays on.
Hope this helps.
