it shouldn't be too difficult to determine if EVAP valve or wiring or the ECU being at fault.
If the code comes back after a week or so of driving, that could be a lot more difficult to pinpoint.
EVAP valve should have nominell reading of 40 Ohm when cold (+ - 20 Ohm).
It should be a battery voltage supplied to valve when ignition on (or engine running) and the ECU should ground the valve in pulses.
He can use the Tech 2 with "activate" menu and dry run the EVAP valve to check its performance.
If the ECU doesn't ground the valve, it might be an ECU problem.
