I just completed an auto-to-manual switch on a '92 9000, and to my surprise everything functioned perfectly...except for my external temp sensor. I thought it was some kind of electrical terminator (the clips had broken so it was just hanging and not where it was supposed to be), and I mangled it pretty good taking it off. When the car came on, it registered an error in the external temp, so I tried plugging it back in (now that I figured out what it was), but it looks like I bent the sensor/resistor, so it was registering -40°F. I called Saab and they quoted about $90... Does anyone know if anyone carries a generic thermistor that would work? I plan on calling eEuroparts on Monday, but if anyone knows of a cheaper solution for a replacement sensor (or even has the specs on resistance/temp), I'd appreciate it.
