So, I took apart the master yesterday. The piston seals looked fine. I went ahead and replaced the last rubber seal since it was easy to get out. The other I left alone since I could see how to remove it. Anyways, with the piston in and the side hold blocked, it is impossible to blow through it. And the cylinder had 1/24/02 engraved on it (so I assume its been rebuilt recently).

Spent the whole of yesterday and today bleeding the friggin clutch. Vacuum bleeding was useless since I could never get a good seal at the nipple. Finally, did the bicycle tube thing, and it kinda worked. Managed to get the old fluid out and get a lot of pedal feel back. *But*, I think things are worse than before. This is how it is now:

- Clutch is still slipping against flywheel with pedal pushed in - there is gridning with the lever partially in any slot when stopped. It is near impossible to select a gear when stopped. Definitely not releasing fully.

- Pedal still stays on the floor when trying to shift at a high rpm. The pedal just seems to sink to a light touch. Its weird. It never sinks during regular driving. And trust me - I'm able to repeat this *everytime* when I take 2nd all the way to redline and try to shift to 3rd. Everytime.

- Pedal actually feels mushier than before. Used the excellent Castrol GT LMA fluid. And my old fluid looked incredibly dark and nasty. So I was only hoping for improvements.

Please help here. I'm absolutely frustrated after losing my weekend to a fruitless clutch bleeding session. I would really appreciate it. Thanks,

Karthik
