I cleaned the throttle body yesterday at 96 k miles and there was a enough dirt built up in there to actually make a mound of dirt. This mound lead from the air temp sensor all the way the throttle body. I also clean the air temp sensor and BPV. For the whole system I used Gunk Carberator Cleaner and the car acts completly different. It pulls so much more up to red line and my check engine light appears to be gone, plus my BPV no longer flutters at 20 PSI (Stock ECU I am just at 5400 feet above sea level. Side note: I am impressed home much the ECU adapts to alltitude. The car feels almost the same here as it did at sea level). The imporvement is so great that after work today I am pulling the IC, all the IC pipes, and the intake pipe to clean them because if the power that I get back is anywhere near proportional to what clean the throttle body did the car will feel better then new. Do any of you think that I should pull the turbo and clean that housing as well or is that to big of a job outside of the two hours that I care to put into it?
