I doubt it's the sunroof drain. The sunroof sits in a tray with drains at all four corners. The rear drains are just rear of the rear of the front doors - the headliner dishes up over the rear seats, and that's where the sunroof tray ends.
The typical failures of a tray are either the drain clogs, or the tube falls off. A clog causes the tray to overflow, and you'll see the result as a wet headliner. If the tube falls off, it's pretty much the same.
I clean the drain tubes by running a piece of wire up the tube from below for the rears, and from the tray down for the fronts. I use a piece of 14 gauge insulated, stranded electrical wire. It's fat and flexible enough to make the bends and still clear things out. Avoid anything really stiff, because it can either poke a hole in the tube, or pull it off the tray.
If you're getting a leak at the trunk, I doubt it's sunroof. It's probably either the gasket around the trunk, or a leak where the trunk hinges meet the chassis. If the leak is at the hinges, you'll see it as wetness on the 'sideliners' - the headliner like material on the sides, below the hatch but above the horizontal trunk divider. If it's just in the trunk, it's probably the gasket seal. However, if it's only on the left-hand side, it could be a bad seal at the antenna.
I have had leaks where the bolts holding the hatch hinges come through the chassis. The fix was simple. I removed the bolts, ONE AT A TIME, and gooped the hole with some caulking, then stuck the bolts back in. Why the emphasis on One At A Time? There is adjustment capability in those hinges, and if you loosen both bolts at once, it WILL shift. And it WILL be a nasty job getting the hatch to close right. Don't ask how I know. So just do one bolt at a time.
