After having solved all my boost problems with a new DI cassette(!) and new APC valve/solenoid an irritating problem came back a few days ago:
Depending how fast I accellerated boost never came or went op to 1 bar then dropped to anywhere between 0.5 bar (a bit above baseboost) and 1 bar. What could that be? False baseboost signal (brake, cruise, intake thermometer)? (False) knock signal? Bad signal/wire to apc valve? Bad throttle valve position signal? Bad apc solenoids? Dirty apc valve?
I checked the last point first (most logical, even though I have a new valve) and found a halfmoon shaped little piece of rubber in the return (bleed) line!!!! It was chipped of the (old) rubber return hose!
Problem solved! Now where can one get those nicely colored silicon hoses??
Thought you may be interested.
